Families and children who flee the war to the west of Ukraine need your help! 

With the support of the charity foundation “KARA BĒRNI”, a charity fundraising campaign has been launched for the Volyn Medical Association for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood, which helps refugees from the eastern regions of Ukraine.

The escalation of the crisis in Ukraine has forced tens of thousands of families to leave their homes and seek refuge in the western regions of the country. The flow of refugees from the war zone has not decreased since the beginning of the war. Many of them are exhausted, injured or experiencing an exacerbation of chronic diseases due to interrupted treatment.

In the Volyn region, the municipal enterprise “Volyn Regional Territorial Medical Association for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood”, located in the city of Lutsk, takes care of these people.

Planned and emergency medicine, housing, food, medicine, clothing, the opportunity to continue treatment of chronic diseases – doctors, coordinators and volunteers of the medical association for 10 months have been providing a variety of free support to affected families and, especially, children who need not only humanitarian and medical but also psychological support. 

But the possibilities of employees and volunteers are running out.

In these circumstances, your help is critically needed. In order for the “Volyn Regional Territorial Medical Association for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood” to continue to do everything possible for people fleeing from hostilities, it urgently needs to provide the following medical equipment:

– Manual medical beds;

– Operating X-ray tables;

– Heated mattresses for the operating table;

– Heated mattresses for newborns;

– Instrumental surgical/anesthetic tables;

– Patient monitors;

– Medical air compressors;

– Hygiene products (washing powder and liquid soap);

– Disposable dishes and towels;

– Warm new children’s clothing in different sizes (from 0 to 18 years old);

In these unprecedented circumstances, medical supplies are rapidly running out, their stocks need to be replenished, complex equipment needs regular maintenance and repair, and refugees need not only treatment, but also food, clothing and hygiene products.
